Women Adore Stylish Cars


Cars were previously associated with men, but gradually women are also cracking into the car market. Here are some of the reasons why women love the cars they do.

Without a doubt, girls and women are the finest, most beautiful and amazing representatives of this earth, and sometimes, they also adore cars.

According to the GlamGirls Cars website women will often choose a smaller and comfortable car within a luxury status brand rather than a larger car from a brand with less panache. They are looking for style and status. But because luxury cars are so expensive, they quickly incorporate the need for value and reliability. These are some of the most loved cars by women, according to the GlamGirls Cars website. The Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet is a classical and funny car. It is cute and friendly, has a lot of safety features and a convertible hood.

The Renault Clio (Hatchback 2.0 Renault sport 197 3dr) is a small, practical and rather speedy car. Technically speaking, the Clio possesses a 2.0-litre engine and a rather dull steering wheel, it’s top speed only 130mph. The ride is just as smooth. The car looks stylish, sophisticated and smart. The Clio is very spacious with a good boot, air-conditioning system electric windows, speed limiter and cruise control.

The Mazda MX-5 is a dream of any lady, it is cool, bold, sporty, bright and speedy. Driving in this car is very comfortable with no shakes and trembling.
The Ford Fiesta is not as glamorous as the previous 3 models, but it’s so spacious, so reliable and has excellent driving performance. The car is practical and destined for everyday driving.

This is the only SUV car in the list. The Lexus RX 330 is a really luxurious car with a new 3.3-liter V6. It has a very aggressive character, more power and visual altitude. But some features are the same: smooth driving, amazing interior of the car, incredible quality and reputation.

Ladies also enjoy a drive with the Hyundai Getz Zip around town in this cute and compact ride. It's economical, fuel efficient, easy to park, and has reasonable storage space for a car its size. According to the AutoChic Car website this car was voted the best car in the 2007 AutoChic Car of the Year Awards, which were voted for exclusively by women.

All in all women are admires of affordable and stylish cars with more comfort to accommodate their basic needs.

Stylish Cars


When you think of the “most stylish cars” you’re probably visualizing some Italian exotics that cost as much as a house in the Hollywood Hills. If we were talking about absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful automobiles where price was not a factor, then we would simply have to direct you to our exotic rides section to peruse the goods.

However, the cars selected for this article, are the ones that are mass-produced and priced to be reasonably attainable for hard-working middle-class people. All are current models, and all exhibit cool, contemporary designs without being overly eccentric. Their designs aren’t blatantly ostentatious, but non-conformist enough to turn a few heads while you’re on the expressway.

In an automotive market where seemingly every niche and sub-niche has their own array of models and competitors, choosing the most stylish cars is like picking out a loaf of bread at the grocery store. It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it. After lengthy round-table discussions, I present five stylish cars headed for superstardom.

1- Chrysler 300Chrysler 300 - Credit: Chrysler.com

Make no mistake about it, this Chrysler is nothing like your father’s Cordoba. It has a long wheelbase, short overhangs and a wide track that gives the 300 an athletic, muscular stance. Its bold, mid-century American styling, massive grille and the enormous fenders gracing the available 20-inch wheels result in a look that’s downright sinister. Its mirrored headlights, chrome-accented bumpers, grille and doorsills, as well as its optional chrome wheels make the Chrysler 300 look much more expensive than it actually is. And of course, the oversized Chrysler emblem on the upper part of the grille exudes pride in American engineering.

Uber stylish: If you look at the 300 from the side, you’ll notice that the long hood, low-slung roof and tapering rear make the overall look reminiscent of a Bentley sedan. The 300 might even be able to pass as a poor man’s Bentley, but at only $35,000 (well equipped), its opulent styling is no longer reserved for the rich.

The Nissan Altima is slotted in arguably the most mainstream, banal segment in the automotive industry; the family sedan market. In an arena that includes the plain vanilla Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata, the newly redesigned 2-door Altima is a refreshing twist to the four-door family sedan -- and not just because of the door reduction. The Altima’s overall speeding bullet profile is far less pedestrian than the aforementioned competitors. The wraparound headlights and expansive grille result in a front end that appears to be a blend of the Nissan 350Z and its cousin, the sleek Infiniti G35. The sharply creased hood and door panels provide a tasteful contrast to the overall roundness of its aerodynamic design.

Uber stylish: Perhaps the Altima’s most noticeable styling cue is its radical, fighter-jet inspired taillights. These large, faceted taillights go from the trunk and wrap around to the rear C-pillar -- a reminder that this car isn’t intended to blend in with the pack.

3- Mazda RX-8Mazda RX-8 - Credit: MazdaUSA.com

The Mazda RX-8’s styling is redolent of the venerable RX-7’s, but it has been modified for a cleaner, more contemporary look. Its exterior is made up of sharp lines and bulging sheet metal that turns the RX-8 into a sinewy, well-muscled athlete in motion. Inspired by its unconventional triangular rotary engine, the RX-8 sports the rotor design elements on the hood, front fascia and rear bumper. Its fender-hugging five-spoke alloy wheels, low profile and side vents work in concert to make the RX-8 arguably the most stylish, lust-provoking modern Mazda ever built.

Uber stylish: One particular design element that stands out is the RX-8's exaggerated front fenders. Not only do these fenders do a seamless job of housing the front projector beams and alloy wheels, but they also make the RX-8 look broad shouldered and intimidating when seen front the front.

Twenty smart and stylish cars of the future

Thanks to celebrity endorsements and relatively little competition, Toyota's got a lock on the domestic hybrid market with its Prius, the popular five-seater hatchback that gets 17 km/L in city driving and 19 on the highway. Its recently announced a third-generation model should help it retain its ranking at the top of the hybrid heap.

But that's not stopping Ford Motor (nyse: F) from trying to dethrone the Japanese automaker.

This spring, Ford will try to gain more traction in the hybrid space with two new models, the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan hybrids. Both family-sized sedans promise 13 km/L in city driving and 15 on the highway.

They are just two of a handful of new drives set to debut in the U.S. over the next two years. Others include the Chevrolet Camaro, the Ford Fiesta and the Chevy Cruze. Some, including many being unveiled at the North American International Auto Show this week, are set to hit domestic showrooms this year; others may not reach production until the 2011 model year.

Though the worldwide car market has been saddled with poor sales--domestic sales in recent months fell to their lowest per-capita levels in 50 years, and last year, Asian manufacturers lost 12.5 per cent of their sales in the U.S., while their European counterparts lost 11.1 per cent--the home team has been busy investing in new products.

General Motors (nyse: GM) is making an ambitious effort to take back the mantle of technological leadership with its Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid. This vehicle differs from today's hybrids in that drivers will be able to recharge the batteries with an electrical outlet.

Another difference: The Volt's gasoline motor does not power the drive wheels. Instead, after the vehicle exceeds its 40-mile range on batteries only, the gasoline motor turns a generator to recharge the batteries that feed the electric drive. The lithium ion batteries for this vehicle still remain a challenge in cost and volume manufacturing, but GM is promising it can make first deliveries, in limited numbers, by November 2010.

Comment On This Story

And Ford Motor is pushing "Ecoboost," its name for small but efficient and powerful motors. Within five years, Ford promises it will build half a million Ecoboost-equipped vehicles a year in North America.

The wild card in all this is Chrysler, which has said little about its future product plans, beyond some publicity about plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. But Chrysler, too, has programs to update its core franchise vehicles.

The U.S. will probably see a version of General Motors' new Opel Insignia sedan, a striking model now on sale in Europe, and named car of the year by European journalists. GM once intended to sell the Insignia in the U.S. as a Saturn, but this car now might end up in one of its other divisions.

Cadillac is trying to make a business case for a rear-wheel-drive vehicle smaller than its current CTS. Later this year, Ford will bring in a small commercial van made in Turkey, while the next-generation Ford Explorer SUV will be a lighter, more efficient crossover.

The drastic business and financial downturn in 2008 forced automakers to move back the timelines of some of their new product plans.

GM's Camaro convertible, for example, will likely arrive later than the company's earlier promise of spring 2010. With the downturn in sales last year and expectations for another poor year in 2009, car companies will continue to face tough choices about capital spending vs. cash flow.

The challenge, however, is that Detroit's foreign rivals, with a few exceptions, have not stopped their new vehicle programs. The American cars and trucks that come to market in the next few years must finally put to rest the notion that the U.S. lags the rest of the world in designing, engineering and building great cars.

This could be Detroit's last chance to remain competitive in what has truly become a global business.

2008 Best Sexy Cars on the Road
These cars ooze style, be it the ultimate in luxury or the ultimate in exotic sheet metal. Chances are the people who buy these cars will spend thousands of dollars taking care of them -- perhaps even paying somebody else thousands of dollars to take care of them. Most buyers will also add their own special touches. Maybe it's that extra-dark window tint to keep the paparazzi at bay, or perhaps a set of 24-inch custom wheels to get the car sitting just how you like it. Or most radical of all, some buyers will send the entire car away to be reworked by a professional tuner.
There is so much diversity in this category we had to come up with several lists. The first is for the rock stars, pro basketball players, and hotel heiresses; the other lists are for the rest of us… well, some of us. Ok, still very few of us. In the unlimited division, we have cars that come in with an MSRP of $75,000 or greater. Back here in reality the car still are not inexpensive, but you can pick them up for less than $40,000. We further broke down the lists into domestic and import (list coming soon). Technology played a crucial role in developing all of these lists, since those who buy rides like this are connected with the pulse of the world, and their cars should be too.
Computing the Rankings
A total of 10 cars were selected as vehicles that conveyed the ultimate in flash and style. Vehicles were chosen and ranked based on style, performance, fit & finish, connectivity and drivability. The cars in the unlimited division were chosen based on raw style, uniqueness, ultra-premium luxury features, customization options and an handful of other minor factors. The cars in the lower price bracket were chosen on their uniqueness, originality, customization possibilities, and other related factors.
Note: Stereotypical sexy cars such as Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, and Bugatti were purposely left off this list so we could focus on a more practical selection.
Our Sexy Car Pick: 2008 Cadillac XLR-V
For the second year in a row, the Cadillac XLR-V heads up our top 10 Most Stylish Cars list. It's difficult to beat a high-performance roadster when it comes to style, especially when the car is from Cadillac, a brand that has been enjoying a robust renaissance. Aston Martin V8 Vantage, the baby aston, its been released very recently and is creating huge ripples among consumers for its awesome engine and its brain rattling sound!

The new Audi TT Roadster, this is the most sold Audi in the world and now they have come up with a new one. This particular one is from Abt, an Audi tuner, the 3.2 liter version produces 355 bhp and catapults the car from 0~100 km/h in 5 secs.


3. Bentley Continental GT


New Bentley Continental GT Speed, this is the first Bentley ever to top 200 mph and also the first to have the biggest engine ever produced by Bentley a W12 which produces 600 bhp. A W12 is made by merging two V6's.


4. Mercielago LP 640


The most furious Lambo ever, The Mercielago LP 640, this car has a 6.5 liter V12, which produces 633 bhp and has a 0~100 km/h time of 3.5 secs! And a top speed of 340 km/h.

The BMW M5, this particular black beauty is the world's only M5 with two turbo chargers and inter cooler. With a top speed of 240 mph, this car is truely out of this world.


6. Koenigsegg CCX


Koenigsegg CCX, the only car ever to parallel the Bugati Veyron, with a top speed of 250 mph and an all around carbon fibre body, this car is a master piece.


7. Porsche 911 GT2


Porsche 911 GT2 is equipped with two turbo chargers which gives a max of 530 hp. Porsche have been known to have the best balanced chasis ever made which gives it the best handling you can get from a car.

The Range Rover Sport, this is a particular gangster's choice car, with its 20 inch alloy wheels, turbo charger and sport exhaust system, this car is truely amazing.


9. Vauxhall Monaro


Vauxhall Monaro, an Australian based sports coupe which has all the powerand looks, this car has been said to be the best car ever to drift because of its amazing handling.
